Accident Details
The four-engine airplane departed Ivanovo-Severny Air Force Base on a post-maintenance test flight, carrying three engineers and five crew members. Minutes after takeoff from runway 28, the aircraft lost control, suffered an inflight breakup, and crashed into the Uvod'skoye Reservoir near the village of Ivankovo, approximately 15 km northwest of the airbase. All eight occupants were killed.
Aircraft
The aircraft was named 'Vasiliy Semenenko' and was the last Antonov An-22 Antei in flying condition. It was a heavy transport turboprop with four engines.
Crew and Passengers
The crew comprised: Sergey Shmakov, Dmitry Yatsenko, Kirill Vakulenko, Igor Ishkhano, Alexey Dorofeev, Igor Belyakov, Alexey Tykcheyev, and Roman Korotkov. Three engineers were among the occupants.

The crash site was in the Uvod'skoye Reservoir, near the village of Ivankovo, in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia.
