What happened

During the descent toward Rzeszów-Jasionka Airport, the aircraft suffered a failure of one of its engines. Due to the loss of power, the crew was unable to sustain a safe flight altitude. In response to the emergency, the captain executed an unplanned landing in a field situated near Łańcut, approximately 14 km southeast of the destination airport.

Following the impact with the ground, the aircraft slid for several dozen meters before coming to a complete stop. A fire subsequently broke out, which resulted in the total destruction of the plane. Among the occupants, one fatality was recorded, involving a 69-year-old passenger. Additionally, five injuries were reported, while the remaining 23 individuals on board escaped the wreckage without harm.
