Flight Details
The aircraft was operating a flight from Nursultan Nazarbayev Airport on behalf of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Accident
During the short final approach, the aircraft struck the ground and crashed 600 meters short of the runway. Upon impact, the aircraft burst into flames.
Casualties
Two crew members were rescued from the wreckage. Four other crew members were killed. The deceased were identified as Major Gabit Esimdaevich Barlykbayev, Captain Doszhan Galymbekovich Baimuratov, 1st Lieutenant Mukhtar Hadzhimukanovich Sagimbayev, and Sergeant Vasilkov Evgeny Borisovich.
