What happened
A cargo operation traveling from Goma to Isiro resulted in a fatal accident during the approach phase of the flight. The aircraft was transporting a shipment of 7 tons of cigarettes at the time of the incident. As the flight neared its destination at Isiro-Matari Airport, the aircraft crashed approximately 3 km before reaching the runway.
There were four people on board the aircraft, consisting of one loadmaster and three crew members. The impact resulted in three fatalities and left the loadmaster with serious injuries.
