What happened
An aviation accident occurred in a mountainous region situated approximately 25 km east of Sevastopol. The aircraft struck a cliff located to the north of Kuybishevo during its flight.
There were 29 fatalities resulting from the impact, which included all individuals on board. The occupants consisted of seven crew members and 22 soldiers. Following the event, the Russian Government stated that investigations found no evidence of hostile action or external interference contributing to the crash.

Official investigations concluded that the accident was the result of controlled flight into terrain.
