What happened
The incident occurred during a night training flight originating from RAF Driffield. The crew was on final approach to RAF Greenham Common when the twin-engine aircraft descended through the last layer of clouds. During this descent, the airframe impacted treetops and crashed into a wooded area in Kingsclere, located northwest of Basingstoke, Hampshire.
