What happened
The incident occurred while the pilot was conducting a solo training flight. During the maneuver, the aircraft experienced a mechanical issue that resulted in a complete loss of power. Faced with this emergency, the aviator attempted to execute an off-airport landing to minimize damage and risk.
The airplane ultimately impacted the ground in a field located near Halfpenny Green. The force of the crash landing caused significant structural damage to the airframe, rendering it beyond repair. Despite the severity of the impact on the machine, the pilot sustained only minor injuries and survived the accident.
