What happened

The incident occurred while the crew was conducting a local training flight at RAF Tangmere on behalf of the 217th Squadron. During the landing phase, the aircraft entered an incorrect configuration for the approach. This error caused the crew to overshoot the intended touchdown point, resulting in a landing significantly further down the runway than planned.

Upon touching down, the twin-engine aircraft lacked sufficient remaining runway distance to decelerate safely.
