What happened
During a routine supply operation, the aircraft encountered a mechanical issue involving its powerplant. The flight crew initiated an emergency procedure to land the machine as soon as possible. They brought the aircraft down approximately one mile southeast of Trevose Head. Upon impact and subsequent stoppage, the airframe sustained significant structural damage that rendered it beyond repair. Despite the severity of the crash, all four individuals on board survived without sustaining any injuries.
Findings
The official investigation concluded that the incident was directly caused by a failure of the engine. No other contributing factors were cited in the available records.
