What happened
The twin-engine aircraft executed an approach that resulted in an overshoot, causing it to land significantly long on the runway. Upon touchdown, the plane was unable to decelerate within the remaining available distance. Consequently, the aircraft overran the end of the runway and collided with a concrete wall structure. The impact resulted in the destruction of the airframe. All four members of the crew sustained injuries during the event. The personnel involved were assigned to the 269th Squadron.
Findings
The official investigation identified poor judgment by the flight crew as the primary factor. Specifically, the team continued their approach while maintaining an altitude that was too high for a safe landing.
