What happened
The incident involved a twin-engine aircraft operating on behalf of the RAF Ansty Flying School, based near Coventry. The aircraft was conducting a training exercise with a total of four people on board: two crew members and two passengers. During the flight, conditions deteriorated into poor weather while the aircraft was in cruise.
While navigating these adverse conditions, the aircraft impacted the slope of Mt Fan Brycheiniog, situated approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Swansea. The crash resulted in fatal injuries for both individuals in the crew positions. The two passengers sustained non-fatal injuries and survived the accident.
