What happened
The incident occurred while the crew was conducting a ferry flight destined for RAF Sealand. During the landing phase, the aircraft failed to stop within the available runway length and overshot the end of the strip. The airplane subsequently collided with a fence located at the boundary of the terrain before coming to rest in a muddy field. The impact resulted in the destruction of the airframe.
Findings
Both members of the crew sustained injuries during the accident. No fatalities were reported, but the aircraft was written off due to the extent of the damage sustained from the fence impact and subsequent ground contact.
