What happened
During a routine training mission, the aircraft encountered a mechanical issue while executing its landing approach at Kasfareet AFB. The undercarriage failed to deploy or function correctly upon touchdown, causing the airframe to make contact with the runway surface on its belly. Following this initial impact, the machine skidded across the ground before eventually coming to a complete stop. Despite the severity of the structural damage, which resulted in the aircraft being written off, all three members of the crew escaped the incident without sustaining any injuries.
Findings
The primary factor leading to the accident was the failure of the landing gear system during the final phase of flight. This mechanical malfunction prevented a normal wheel landing, forcing the aircraft onto its fuselage and resulting in total loss of the airframe.
