A twin-engine airplane departed RCAF Camp Borden for a routine training mission with three personnel on board. During the flight, while maintaining formation, the aircraft struck a second Avro Anson registered N9595, which was carrying four crew members. The impact caused both airplanes to lose control and descend rapidly into a field in Bond Head. All seven individuals aboard the two aircrafts were killed in the crash.
