Accident

While approaching Puerto Iguazú, the pilot reported a fire in the cabin to ground personnel and elected to make an emergency landing. The aircraft crashed in flames approximately 10 km south of the airport.

Five occupants were killed in the crash, including the pilot. One passenger was seriously injured. That passenger, María Susana Irrazábal, was the only survivor of the crash but died 67 days later under unclear circumstances; a suspected septicemia was mentioned.
