What happened
Following its arrival at Vũng Tàu Airport, a twin engine airplane experienced a loss of control immediately after touchdown. The aircraft departed the active runway and drifted into an area where other planes were stationed.
During this excursion, the moving aircraft struck two stationary planes: a Grumman OV-1, registration 61-2712, and a U-6A Beaver, registration 53-7397. The impact resulted in the total destruction of all three aircraft involved in the incident.
Findings
While the specific mechanical or operational reasons for the loss of control were not detailed, the collision caused eight serious injuries among the occupants on board the primary aircraft.
