What happened
Earlier on the day of the incident, an aircraft departed from Ogle International Airport, performing scheduled stops at Omai and Mahdia. The flight was transporting various goods and was destined for Monkey Mountain Airfield. During the approach to the destination, the pilot performed several circling maneuvers around the airstrip before attempting a landing.
Immediately after the aircraft touched down on the runway, it drifted off the paved surface. During this excursion, the plane struck several obstacles before coming to a complete stop. The impact resulted in the aircraft being damaged beyond repair.
Findings
There were no injuries reported among the two occupants on board. Investigations into the incident suggest that adverse weather conditions played a significant role, as the area was experiencing heavy rain, wind, and low cloud cover at the time of the landing attempt.
