What happened
On a scheduled flight departing from Bhubaneswar-Biju Patnaik Airport at 12:20 local time, a single-engine aircraft was en route to Rourkela. The flight was operated with two pilots and four passengers on board. During the cruise phase at an altitude of 8,000 feet, the flight proceeded without incident.
As the crew initiated the descent toward Rourkela, an unforeseen emergency occurred. At 13:14 local time, the pilot issued an emergency declaration. Approximately five minutes after the distress call, the pilot attempted to land the aircraft, but the plane ultimately crash landed in a pasture situated roughly 10 km south of the destination. The impact resulted in six injuries among the occupants, with no fatalities reported.
