What happened
On a flight from Ciudad Bolívar to Uonquén, a single-engine aircraft encountered difficult flying conditions. The flight departed at 10:16 local time, and by approximately 11:00 local time, the pilot had communicated that the aircraft was operating at an altitude of 11,500 feet amidst poor weather.
Later in the flight, while the aircraft was cruising at 7,000 feet, it impacted the slope of Mt Awakapa Tepuy, which is situated within the Chimanta Mountain Range. The impact resulted in seven fatalities, with no survivors reported among the occupants.
