What happened
During a positioning flight originating from Düsseldorf, an aircraft was completing its arrival at Dortmund-Wickede Airport. Upon touchdown, the pilot lost control of the aircraft type, which subsequently veered off the runway. The plane struck a hangar, triggering a significant post-crash fire.
The resulting blaze spread through the structure, leading to the total destruction of the involved aircraft and four additional planes that were parked inside the hangar at the time of the incident. There was one fatality recorded, involving the pilot who was the only person on board the plane during its arrival.
