What happened
During a night-time positioning flight traveling from Dar es-Salaam, a twin-engine airplane lost control while approaching Zanzibar Airport. The aircraft went down in the ocean near Chenguu Island, impacting the water a few hundred meters from the coast.
At the time of the accident, the aircraft was being operated as a repositioning flight. The impact occurred in the sea, and the pilot, who was the only person on board, was killed in the crash. There were 1 fatality and no other occupants reported.
