What happened

During a flight traveling from Cuernavaca to Guadalajara, the pilot of a twin engine aircraft reported mechanical difficulties to air traffic control regarding the right-side engine. Due to the technical malfunction, the flight was authorized to divert to Morelia Airport to perform an emergency landing.

While performing the final approach toward runway 05, the aircraft descended into an open field. The impact occurred approximately 2 km before reaching the runway threshold. All six occupants on board were able to evacuate the wreckage following the crash. While the aircraft sustained damage that rendered it a total loss, the occupants sustained only minor injuries.
