What happened
During the final approach phase of flight to Tepic-Amado Nervo Airport, a twin engine airplane experienced a loss of control. The aircraft drifted off its intended path and impacted a field situated to the west of the airfield. Upon impact, the wreckage ignited, causing a fire that completely destroyed the airframe.
There were four fatalities recorded in the incident, as all occupants on board the aircraft perished.
Findings
Following the crash, it was determined that the aircraft became uncontrollable while maneuvering for landing. The resulting impact and subsequent fire led to the total destruction of the plane.
