What happened
During a flight traveling from Dutch Guinea toward the Netherlands, a seaplane encountered significant weather-related challenges. While the aircraft was in its cruise phase, it encountered low visibility caused by adverse meteorological conditions. During this period of poor visibility, the aircraft struck the Dahr Ain el Abid hill.
The impact resulted in a tragic outcome for those on board. Out of the total occupants, one fatality was recorded among the crew members. Emergency responders were able to successfully locate and rescue the remaining eight survivors from the wreckage site.
