What happened
During a flight toward Mitú Airport, a seaplane encountered worsening weather conditions while traveling through the air. The aircraft subsequently went down in an unpopulated area within the Puerto Arturo region under circumstances that remain undetermined.
Following the aircraft's failure to reach its intended destination at Mitú Airport, search and rescue operations were initiated. On November 13, responders located the wreckage of the plane. The accident resulted in two fatalities involving both pilots on board. Additionally, four injured individuals were rescued from the site and subsequently evacuated for medical treatment.
Findings
Initial reports indicate that deteriorating weather conditions played a significant role in the incident leading to the crash in the remote area.
