What happened
The incident involved an aircraft operating on a supply mission within the borders of the State of Assam. During this operation, the plane vanished completely, leaving no immediate trace or distress signal at the time of disappearance. The loss remained unresolved for several years until physical evidence was located in 2011.
In that year, individuals walking in the Karbi Anglong mountain range discovered debris associated with the missing aircraft. This discovery provided the first tangible confirmation of the accident site after the initial disappearance. The crew consisted of three military personnel: a First Lieutenant, a Sergeant, and a Second Lieutenant. All members of the flight deck were lost in the incident.
