Following the aircraft's failure to arrive at the scheduled airport, search and rescue operations were initiated to locate the missing plane. One week after the disappearance, investigators discovered the wreckage situated on the slopes of Mt Mirador within the Cordillera de Los Picachos National Park in the State of Meta.

Findings

The impact resulted in all five occupants and all 12 animals being killed. The crash occurred during the en route phase of flight.
