What happened
The incident occurred during a routine training mission operating out of Lisbon-Portela de Sacavém Airport. The flight phase involved the initial climb immediately following departure from the runway.
During this early stage of the ascent, the instructor initiated a shutdown of one engine. Following this action, the aircraft experienced a stall and subsequently impacted the terrain near the end of the runway. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe.
All five crew members on board sustained injuries in the accident. No fatalities were reported among the personnel involved in the training exercise.
