What happened
During an evening training mission, a four-engine aircraft crashed into the side of Mt Guayatama. The flight had originated from Bogotá-El Dorado Airport and was traveling toward its destination when it impacted the slope of the mountain near Suárez, situated approximately 100 km southwest of the departure airfield.
The impact caused the total destruction of the airframe. There were five fatalities among the crew members on board the aircraft. No survivors were reported following the collision.
