What happened
A twin-engine cargo operation was underway between Jérémie and Les Cayes when the aircraft failed to reach its intended destination. During the flight, the plane went down in a hilly region situated to the southeast of Jérémie. Search efforts located the wreckage in a remote, isolated area approximately one day after the disappearance.
There were two fatalities among the crew, as both pilots on board perished in the accident. The aircraft was transporting a variety of goods at the time of the impact.
Findings
Investigation into the circumstances of the crash noted that the weather conditions during the flight were marginal. The difficulty of accessing the crash site due to the isolated nature of the terrain was also a factor in the delay of the wreckage discovery.
