Incident Overview
During a scheduled cargo operation between Vientiane and Savannakhét, an aircraft transporting 5.4 tons of assorted goods encountered hostile action. The plane sustained damage from enemy fire while en route, leading to a loss of control.
Crew Actions and Casualties
As the aircraft became uncontrollable, two crew members initiated emergency egress procedures. Both pilots were killed in the subsequent crash. Among the other personnel, one individual jumped from the aircraft without deploying a parachute and was killed upon impact. A second crew member successfully parachuted from the plane and survived the incident.
