What happened
During the descent toward Guayaramerín Airport, the pilot reported a malfunction involving the left engine approximately seven minutes before the scheduled arrival time. Despite this mechanical issue, the flight was able to proceed with the approach to the runway.
Upon landing, the aircraft was unable to decelerate sufficiently within the available runway length. This led to a runway overrun, during which the plane sustained severe damage, including the loss of the right wing and the undercarriage. Following the incident, all 44 occupants were able to evacuate the aircraft without injury. The aircraft itself was declared a total loss due to the extent of the damage.
