Incident
Following takeoff from Kinshasa-Ndolo Airport, the flight crew reported technical problems with the undercarriage. Air traffic control cleared the aircraft to divert to Kinshasa-N'Djili Airport. The crew executed a belly landing on runway 24. Upon touchdown, the aircraft slid for several dozen meters before veering off the runway to the right and coming to rest in a grassy area.
Evacuation
All 26 occupants evacuated the aircraft safely. No injuries were reported.
Damage
The aircraft sustained damage beyond repair. It is believed that the left main landing gear was torn off during takeoff from Kinshasa-Ndolo Airport, though the reason for this remains unknown.
