What happened
During a scheduled training session at Gimhae Airport, a twin engine airplane experienced a catastrophic loss of control. While the flight crew was performing the final approach phase of the mission, the aircraft deviated from its intended path and impacted the ground. The crash occurred just a few hundred meters before reaching the runway threshold.
There were no passengers on board at the time of the accident. The incident resulted in three fatalities, as all members of the flight crew perished in the impact.
Findings
Official investigations into the accident concluded that the aircraft suffered an engine failure during its descent. This mechanical malfunction led to the subsequent loss of control while the plane was on final approach, preventing the crew from maintaining a stabilized flight path to the runway.
