What happened
A special flight originating from Río Gallegos was en route to Ushuaia when the accident occurred. The aircraft was transporting five representatives from the YPF and Hidronor companies, who were traveling to conclude inspections of regional oil fields. While performing an ILS approach toward Ushuaia Airport from a southeasterly direction, the flight encountered adverse weather conditions.

The impact took place approximately 20 km southeast of Ushuaia and roughly 25 km west of Puerto Williams, placing the wreckage within Chilean borders.
