What happened
On the afternoon of the accident, an aircraft departed from Toluca Airport at 15:28 local time, operating as an executive flight bound for Zacatecas. The flight was carrying a total of four people, consisting of two pilots and two passengers. Shortly after takeoff, the crew received clearance to climb to flight level 380. During the climb, the flight crew reported encountering moderate turbulence.
Following this period of turbulence, the aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent. The structural integrity of the plane failed during the descent, causing the aircraft to disintegrable in mid-air. The wreckage eventually crashed in the vicinity of Apaseo el Alto. The impact and breakup resulted in a wide distribution of debris across a large area. There were four fatalities recorded, as all occupants on board perished in the accident.
