What happened
While returning to the base at Bol’shoye Gryzlovo Aerodrome following a skydiving operation, the aircraft experienced a severe landing incident. During the landing phase, the aircraft struck the ground with significant force, causing the nose gear to separate from the airframe. The impact resulted in the aircraft being written off due to extensive damage.
Two crew members were aboard the aircraft at the time of the accident. Both the pilot and the copilot sustained serious injuries during the impact. The captain succumbed to his injuries three days after the event, and the copilot passed away on 06 September 2012.
