Pre-Flight Preparation on 17 June 2015
After completing the first flying shift on 17 June 2015, the flight instructor conducted preliminary preparation for flights scheduled on 18 June 2015 with the cadets of his group in the methodological classroom of the 1st Aviation Squadron. Medical Examination on 18 June 2015
On 18 June 2015, before the flights began, the training crew consisting of the flight instructor and the cadet underwent a pre-flight medical examination. According to entries in the "Medical Examination Log," the cadet was examined first at 02:52. The paramedic concluded that the cadet was healthy and expressed no complaints about his health. The cadet's condition was described as calm and balanced, and his behavior was normal during the examination. The flight instructor underwent the medical examination at 03:08. The paramedic concluded that the flight instructor was healthy and expressed no complaints. His behavior during the examination corresponded to a good mood.
Flight Operations on 18 June 2015
Flights at the "Buguruslan-Glavny" landing site began at 03:45. The flight plan for that day included 14 aircraft of type DA 40 NG. After takeoff, some of these aircraft flew to the "Buguruslan-Severny" landing site. After the aircraft dispersed, flight information service for the airborne aircraft was provided by the flight directors of the local airfield control towers (SDP MVL) located at the landing sites. The crew of aircraft RA-02654 requested takeoff at 03:53. At that time, two other aircraft were simultaneously in communication with the control tower. After takeoff, the crew of RA-02654 climbed to an altitude of 600 m above the reference point. After some time, the crew requested descent to 300 m in accordance with the traffic pattern.
