What happened
During the final approach phase at Macapá Airport, the aircraft's left engine suffered an explosion that led to an active fire. This mechanical failure caused the plane to lose altitude and drop below the established glide path. The aircraft subsequently performed a crash landing in a grassy field situated to the right of the runway. Upon impact, the plane caught fire and sustained damage that rendered it a total loss.
