A twin-engine aircraft crashed in an open field near Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert after departing Roanne for Montpellier, killing all six occupants, including racing driver José Dolhem.

Flight Details and Accident Sequence A twin-engine aircraft departed Paris-Le Bourget Airport at 1145 local time on a flight to Roanne, where it landed at 1300 local time. The aircraft then took off at 1740 local time for the second leg of its journey to Montpellier. In unknown circumstances, the aircraft went out of control and crashed in an open field located in Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert, approximately 65 kilometers south-southeast of Roanne Airport. The aircraft burst into flames upon impact. ## Casualties All six occupants were killed in the accident. The crew consisted of José Dolhem, a racing driver and half-brother of Didier Pironi. The passengers were Philippe Nahon, Dominique Nahon, Nicole Jusserand, Marie Noiriel, and Christian Buconseille.
