What happened
During an approach to Chetumal Airport, the pilot of the aircraft encountered mechanical difficulties involving the engine. Following the report of these engine problems, the pilot initiated an emergency landing procedure. The aircraft subsequently crash landed in an open field situated in the Sergio Butrón Casas area, approximately 25 km west of the airport.
