What happened
On the night of the accident, a twin engine aircraft departed from Rosario-Islas Malvinas Airport at 22:15 local time. The flight was a scheduled return trip to Córdoba, operated with a crew of two pilots on board. Shortly after departing, the flight crew received clearance to descend from an initial altitude of 8,000 feet to 6,000 feet.
At 22:42 local time, the crew provided a position report indicating they were over Ubrel while traveling northwest. However, at approximately 23:00 local time, the aircraft began an uncontrolled descent. The plane crashed into an open field situated roughly 6 km from Las Varillas. Search efforts located the wreckage the following morning.
