A medical evacuation aircraft was hit by enemy fire shortly after takeoff from Krutoyarovka, resulting in a crash landing and the death of two passengers.

What happened

The aircraft departed Krutoyarovka on an emergency medical mission bound for Izyum. The flight carried one pilot and two wounded soldiers as passengers. Approximately five minutes after takeoff, the plane was struck by fire from a German fighter. In response to the damage, the pilot attempted an emergency landing in a nearby field. The aircraft crashed into the terrain and immediately caught fire. Due to injuries sustained during the impact, the pilot was unable to assist the occupants. Consequently, both passengers perished in the burning wreckage.
