What happened
A flight departing from Kaluga-Grabtsevo Airport at 10:00 local time, destined for Kirov, ended in an accident approximately thirty minutes after takeoff. The aircraft, a single-engine plane, was transporting a cargo load of 910 kilograms along with two pilots and four passengers. During the flight, the aircraft experienced a loss of altitude, eventually descending into a forested region situated roughly 1.5 km southeast of Kludnevo, where it struck trees.
The impact resulted in four fatalities and two injuries among the occupants on board.
Findings
Investigators were unable to establish a definitive reason for the crash. While a technical inspection of the engine was conducted, experts could not confirm whether the engine was operating at maximum power at the moment of impact. Additionally, investigators did not rule out the possibility that a failure in the collector occurred during the flight.
