What happened
During an early morning agricultural mission in Koshlyaky, an aircraft was deployed to apply herbicides across local fields. The flight included the pilot and two passengers. Shortly after departing, while the aircraft was ascending to an altitude of approximately 100 meters, it performed a left bank before losing altitude. The nose of the plane pitched down to a 35-degree angle, leading to a collision with a road running alongside the field. The impact caused the aircraft to burst into flames, resulting in the total destruction of the airframe. There were four fatalities among the occupants.
Findings
Investigations into the crash identified critical human factors and regulatory violations. Official analysis determined that the pilot was operating the aircraft while under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration measured at 1.02‰. Additionally, it was determined that the pilot's intoxication was a primary factor in the loss of control. Furthermore, the two passengers on board were not permitted to be part of this specific flight mission.
