Background
During the morning hours, the crew completed an aerial spraying mission over forested areas. At 1015 local time, after the mission concluded, the crew permitted three passengers to board the aircraft. The flight then departed for Soligalich.
Accident Sequence
Shortly after takeoff, the flight encountered marginal weather conditions characterized by low clouds, haze, and rain. While flying at an altitude of 285 meters, the aircraft struck tree tops and crashed in a wooded area. All five occupants—the two pilots and three passengers—were killed.
Investigation Findings
The official investigation determined that the crew allowed passengers to embark without prior authorization. Additionally, both pilots were found to be intoxicated at the time of the accident, having consumed alcohol the evening before. Blood alcohol analysis revealed a concentration of 1.16‰ for the captain and 0.75‰ for the copilot, indicating significant impairment.
