Aircraft Crash at Kurkachi Airport Due to Engine Failure (CCCP-05703)

Incident Overview During an approach to Kurkachi Airport, the aircraft experienced an engine failure. The flight crew initiated an emergency landing procedure in response to the mechanical issue. However, the aircraft collided with the mast of a high-voltage powerline before reaching a safe landing area, resulting in a crash. The impact caused injuries to all 13 people on board, and the aircraft was completely destroyed. ## Official Findings The investigation determined that the probable cause of the accident was an engine failure that occurred during the approach phase. The failure was attributed to a newspaper that had become lodged in the engine's air intake, obstructing airflow and leading to the loss of power.
