What happened
An incident involving a single-engine aircraft occurred following an unauthorized departure from Tenki. The aircraft had been originally dispatched for a local agricultural spraying mission. During the afternoon, the copilot, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol, took control of the aircraft without permission.
During this unauthorized flight, two additional unauthorized passengers were on board. The aircraft subsequently crashed into the Kuybyshev Reservoir under circumstances that remain undetermined. Following the disappearance, search efforts were unable to locate the wreckage of the plane. While the third occupant of the aircraft has not been located, authorities discovered two dead bodies in the Kama River.
Findings
Investigations into the disappearance indicate that the flight was initiated by a copilot operating while intoxicated after stealing the aircraft from its base.
