What happened
During a mission to monitor forest fires, a single-engine aircraft departed from Khandyga-Teply Klyuch Airport. The flight was being conducted as part of a survey operation. While in flight, the aircraft encountered an unspecified issue that led to a crash landing within a forested region. During the descent, the plane struck several trees before coming to a final stop.
Search teams located the wreckage during the afternoon, approximately 20 km northwest of the Teply Klyuch Airport. The aircraft was carrying a crew of three, consisting of two pilots and one observer. Despite the impact with the trees, all three occupants were successfully rescued from the site and subsequently airlifted to medical facilities.
Findings
The exact reason for the loss of control remains undetermined, as the cause of the crash landing is currently unknown.
