What happened
While performing agricultural spraying operations for the Gigant collective farm, an aircraft crashed in a field situated approximately 7 to 8 kilometers from the village of Telikol, located in the Shieli district of the Kyzylorda region. During the mission, the pilot attempted a steep left-hand turn while flying at a low altitude. This maneuver resulted in a loss of control, leading the aircraft to impact the ground.
There were three fatalities recorded during the accident, as all occupants on board perished in the crash.
Findings
Official investigations into the accident highlighted several critical issues regarding flight operations and crew composition. It was determined that the pilot chose to conduct the mission without a co-pilot present. Furthermore, the aircraft was carrying two unauthorized passengers at the time of the incident. The primary factor in the crash was the loss of control following an aggressive turn at low altitude.
